Bubble Chamber 3
The Bubble chamber series was inspired by early particle accelerator experiments in which the particle collision happened inside a chamber filled with a superheated fluid, usually Hydrogen. The debris from the collision would leave a trail of bubbles, the photograph of which could give clues to the nature of the sub-atomic particles in question.
Aside from the insights into the universe these experiments offer, the images bring the beauty of the sub-atomic realm to a macro scale we can appreciate. Rendering my own interpretations in glass offers an opportunity to bring light and color into play with the helical forms of particle tracks.
